Low season update.

06 Sep

Hey Blog Readers,

This is another blog written by Mr. Sally, I know lot’s of you are interested in everything Octopus, so just thought this would be a great opportunity to update all of you.

As many of you probably know by following Octopus Diving on Facebook Sally is pregnant and due 25th October. We just had another scan today and the baby is very healthy, a little too healthy to be honest…. they are predicting a TALL baby (wonder where that came from?) that could be rather large…. no bet’s please!
We have a name already, some say it’s bad luck to announce it, so we are keeping it quiet, but we won’t be calling him Roger, Billy or Max!
Exciting stuff for the next few Months for sure.

Even though it is low season in St. Martin, St. Maarten, Caribbean, we are staying very busy. This weekend we have 2 Groups of AUC students, followed by another group of 6 next weekend. All of them are taking their Open Water courses with our excellent new Instructors.

The diving industry is a very transient business and we have extremely high standards at Octopus Diving, so finding good staff is sometimes difficult. This season we are happy to say that we have an excellent team for the coming high season.

Stuart Bennet is still working for us and is currently on vacation in the UK.

Keep up the good work guys!

If you haven’t reviewed us yet, now’s the chance, It really helps our business to grow and if you are our 400th Reviewer we will give you a free Octopus Diving T-shirt on your next trip to St. Martin, St. Maarten, Caribbean.

Currently Hurricane season is being kind to us, we have had a few near misses and we hope that this will continue for the coming Months.
The weather this year has been phenomenal, calm seas and low winds. The diving has been awesome too, plenty of Dolphin encounters, not too many Lion Fish and there seems to be more fish than ever at our Secret Dive sites, Chris Reef, New Reef and Fish Pot.

Next season we hope to announce some exciting changes to Octopus Diving so stay tuned to the Blog and Facebook for updates!

Have a great summer and hope to see you all soon.

Chris and Sally
